Making a photo book should be fast, easy and fun. So to make it a little easier, a little faster, and hopefully a little more fun, we’re rolling out improvements to Inkubook’s autofill option.

Our autofill feature has always let you have your photos placed automatically when you start your project. But now, you can use autofill at any time you get photos for your Inkubook!

Why You’ll Love It.

Whenever I make an Inkubook, there are always some photos that I really, really love and then there are others that I want to put in the book but they’re just not my favorites. That’s why I personally really love the new autofill. Say you have 20 stand-out shots that you want to put at the front of your book. You can add those 20 photos to your project, place them exactly how you like and write captions.

You may still have hundreds of other photos you want to include in your book, and the improved autofill option lets you load those hundreds of photos and have them placed automatically.

How does it work?

When uploading your favorite photos, check “I want to place photos myself.” You know the pics I’m talking about: your “wow” photos – the ones that are worthy of full-page bleeds or 2-page spreads.

Spend all the time you like personalizing the layout, backgrounds and text that work best for those pictures.

When you’re ready to add the rest of  your photos, select “Get Photos” and then choose “I want photos placed for me.” The autofill program will place up to four photos on each page, saving you the time of arranging them yourself.

Organizing your favorite photos shouldn’t be a burden. Inkubook is all about making it fun, easy and fast for you to share the memories.

And copying a project is one feature that makes it even easier to personalize your photo books while saving yourself the time and trouble of creating an entirely new project.

Sign in, select the project that you want to duplicate and click “Copy Book.” If the option is available, select hardcover or softcover format and click “Copy.”

It’s as easy as that! You can now swap in other photos, backgrounds – personalize it however you like.

Ideas for Using the “Copy Book” Feature

1. Family Reunions

As much as you love your uncle and cousins, you might want to make a book of memories that’s personalized for your immediate family. Copying a project lets you select the photos you want and leave out the ones you don’t. Sorry, Uncle Gary.

2. Team Players

Swap in a few pics of your star player for a memento that captures all the season’s highlights – from opening day to the trophy presentation, and all the grass stains in between.

3. Gifts

With a simple text switch (such as “For Grandma” instead of “For Aunt Kay”) and a few visual changes, you can create a unique book for all the members of your family in a matter of minutes. Bonus: It’ll look like you spent hours.

After you’ve created your free account, have everyone else do the same. You can then easily invite people to the project you started by simply typing in their e-mail address and a message, or by pulling from existing address books in Gmail, Yahoo!, and other mail clients.

BUILD YOUR BOOK

Now the fun part begins. Once you invite everyone, they will be sent a link to upload their photos directly to the project, meaning no one has to deal with a bunch of e-mail attachments. You then decide what makes the cut for the book, and arrange everything in the templates we provide.

CONFIRM YOUR ORDER

Once everyone previews the book and likes what they see, you can go ahead and place your order. Your book is all done. And the best part — you didn’t have to do all the work yourself!
